The spider I am using for color references is the Green Lynx spider, peucetia veridans, since its markings very strongly resemble the pattern of the Green Goblin armor.
Norman's jacket isn't quite a monster feature, but he's almost always wearing it if he's out and around. The base black jacket was a gift from Tawna not long after his arrival: the beadwork on the back is her own. She sewed the sleeves and hood on for him from the hoodie he wore at his arrival: a gift from May Parker, which he keeps as a constant reminder to be the better person she and Peter believe(d) he could be.
